Weather-Related Service Update for Sunday, 02-01-2026
I had planned to go to the church building today to work in the office. Hazel Street itself has been plowed (likely by the City of Pine Bluff), but both church driveways remain blocked by several feet of ice, and the parking lot is still completely covered with multiple inches of ice.
Given the current conditions and the forecast ahead, we do not anticipate the parking lot being accessible or safe by Sunday.
Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our members and visitors in mind, the leadership has made the difficult decision to cancel:
• Sunday Morning Bible Class (9:30am)
• Sunday Morning Worship Assembly (10:30am)
Our minister will once again provide a livestream Bible study on Sunday morning at 10:30am.
Please know this decision was not made lightly. We understand the frustration that comes with continued disruptions to our normal schedule. However, we cannot in good conscience place others at risk. This is not an abandonment of assembling together (Hebrews 10:25), but a temporary measure to protect one another while using available technology to continue encouraging each other and sharing the gospel.
